LIFT AND ROTATE
The Lift and rotate rotary indexer motion is commonly used in automation applications stretching across many different industries, whether it is a light medical device product or a large components utilized in an aerospace application. The lift and rotate units that Motion Index Drives engineers and design are project specific and range in sizes and methodology of achieving the lift and rotation movement. The Lift and rotate rotary indexer lift strokes are unlimited in length and can be achieved in a few different ways to optimize performance and value for the end customer.
METHODS TO INCORPORATE FOR PRECISION LIFTS
Fixed cam technology using a cam follower and mechanical dwell for positive location and locking in-position
Programmable cam technology using numerical controlled devices for positive location
Acme screw technology using numerical controlled devices for positive location
Ball screw technology using numerical controlled devices for positive location
Rack and pinion technology using numerical controlled devices for positive location.

Custom Solutions
Indexing Rotary Table with Lifter
Features
- Designed with a dial plate and fixtures for holding stacks of parts
- 8 stations for processing powertrain parts
- Lifter mechanism for incremental lifting
- Lifter is retractable for shuttle functionality
- Fully integratable into customer cells
Functionality
The Motion Index Drives system is engineered to process powertrain parts efficiently by utilizing an indexing rotary table with a lifter. This system is capable of holding stacks of parts at each of the eight stations and incrementally lifting them with a mechanism designed for robotic unloading. The lifter can be retracted to allow the turntable to index the next magazine into the unload station, ensuring seamless operation within an automotive powertrain facility.
